Cyclic and non-cyclic photo-phosphorylation
In plants, there are two types of phosphorylation:
∙ Cyclic phosphorylation: The type of phosphorylation where the electrons are returned to their source i.e., photosystem.
∙ Non-cyclic phosphorylation: The type of phosphorylation where the electrons are not returned to their source i.e., photosystem.
Hence, formation of ATP occurs in both cyclic and non cyclic photophosphorylation.
