The correct option is C ATP synthase Complex I to IV of the electron transport chain are involved in electron transport, that is they accept electrons from the high energy molecules such as NADH and FADH2 and transfer them along the electron chain finally donating it to oxygen. Complex V or ATP synthase, however, is not involved in the transfer of electrons from the electron donors to oxygen but is involved in ATP synthesis. It uses the chemiosmotic gradient created by the ETC to drive ATP synthesis.
