(a) Malaria
Malaria is a mosquito-borne infectious disease of humans and other animals caused by a parasitic protozoan (a group of single-celled microorganism) belonging to the genus Plasmodium.
Malaria is spread by the bite of an infected Anopheles mosquito and causes symptoms such as fever, aches, and nausea.
Diseases like influenza, AIDS, cholera etc are caused by virus.
