Solution

The correct option is B Swine flu
Communicable diseases are those diseases which can be transmitted through an external agent (bacteria, virus, protozoa etc.) or from an infected person to a healthy but susceptible person. The disease spreads either through a vector or through agencies like food, water, etc. Typhoid and typhus are communicable bacterial diseases, where typhoid is transmitted from contaminated food/water and typhus spreads through human lice (external agent). Diabetes is a non-communicable disease caused due to disruption of body function, and swine flu is a communicable disease. Swine flu, caused by the H1N1 virus, is a relatively new strain of an influenza virus that causes symptoms similar to the regular flu. It originates in pigs but spreads primarily from person to person, either by inhaling the virus or by touching surfaces contaminated with the virus, then touching the mouth or nose. Infected droplets are expelled into the air through coughing or sneezing.
