 So, in case of certain event,
P(E)=number of favourable outcomestotal number of outcomes=1
Number of favourable outcomes = Total number of outcomes
In the case of choosing a ball from a bag of the red ball, the chosen ball will always be red. Thus the number of possible outcomes will always be equal to the number of favourable outcomes.
In a girls school, it's certain that the topper will always be a girl. Hence the probability, in this case, is also one.
