S.C. Bose coined the slogan 'Jai Hind'. he became President of INA in 1943. He wanted INA to be an elite fighting force, trained to the highest standards of the German army fighting for the sole cause of Indian Independence. But the Indian soldiers tended to restrict themselves to clusters of their own ethnicity and religion as they were historically organised in regiments as per religion. To tackle this issue he found the slogan “Jai Hind!”
