Solution

The correct option is C Asparagine
Nitrogen is absorbed by plants as nitrate ion. This nitrate is internally converted to ammonia ions through the plants enzymes nitrate reductase and nitrite reductase. The ammonia ions are then incorporated in amides like asparagine and glutamine. The amides are amino acids having extra nitrogen other than one amino group, which is present in all the amino acids as the amino group bonded to alpha carbon atom of amino acid.
