Solution

The correct option is A Archaebacteria - algal blooms
Algal blooms are formed by the luxuriant growth of algae in their aquatic habitats. Multicellular algae belong to Plant kingdom and are not examples of Archeabacteria. Archaebacteria are the most primitive type of prokaryotes that are quite different from bacteria and other organisms. They are found inhabiting some of the most extreme environmental conditions.

Mycorrhizae are the symbiotic association between some fungi and some higher plants. The fungi colonize the plant roots and help the plants in the uptake of minerals such as phosphorous from the soil.

Yeast is a unicellular fungus is used in the manufacture of ethanol. The enzyme Zymase secreted by yeast catalyses the sugar into alcohol by a process called as "fermentation".

Lichens are the symbiotic association between some fungi and alga or cyanobacterium. They are a good indicator of environmental pollution. Lichens are one of the first organism that colonize bare rock. As they grow, they help in breaking down the rock into soil, which in turn helps in forming the substrate for the growth of other plants. This is called as plant succession.
