Which one of the following is not a gaseous biogeochemical cycle in ecosystem?
phosphorous cycle
Nutrient cycling ensures the movement of elements within and between the various biotic and abiotic entities in which nutrients occur in the global environment. Another term for nutrient cycling is biogeochemical cycles. There are basically two types of nutrient cycles - (a) gaseous (b) sedimentary cycles.Gaseous cycles have their nutrient reserves in the atmosphere and oceans, like the nitrogen and carbon cycle. The sedimentary cycles like the phosphorus cycle, however have their nutrient reserves in the soil, rocks and minerals;elements are released from the rock and deposited in the sea. The phosphorus cycle does not have a gaseous phase.
