The bacteria have only photosystem I and can perform cyclic photophosphorylation. The hydrogen donor is the hydrogen sulphide or the other chemical compounds. There is no involvement of water or splitting of water molecules takes place for donating the hydrogen ions and electrons. Since there is no splitting of water and oxygen is not the final acceptor there is no release of oxygen in the process.
Thus, the correct answer is option A.
