Jim Corbett national park is the first national park of India. It is located in Uttarakhand region of north India. It was established in the year 1936. It mainly preserves Bengal tigers. Apart from this, the place is bestowed with rich flora and fauna. It houses around 110 tree species, 50 species of mammals, 580 bird species and 25 reptile species.
This park was named as Jim Corbett national park in the honour of Corbett, the famous author, and wildlife conservationist.
