The typical malarial symptoms include fever, tiredness, vomiting, headaches, etc. There are various reasons for reoccurring of malarial symptoms. It can be either recrudescence, relapse or reinfection. In recrudescence, malarial symptoms are seen after a symptom-free period. It is caused by parasites that survived in the blood of human due to ineffective treatment. Relapse of malarial symptoms is due to the presence of dormant hypnozoites in liver cells.
