Solution

The correct option is D Pelecypods
Pelecypoda comprise a class of marine and freshwater molluscs that have laterally compresses bodies enclosed by a shell consisting of two hinged parts. They have no head, and they also lack a radula. Bivalves include clams, oysters, cockles, mussels, scallops and numerous other families that live in salt water as well as a number of families that love in fresh water. Mother of pearl of nacre is the naturally occurring lustrous layer that lines some mollusc shells. It is used to make pearl buttons and in artisan crafts work to make organic jewellery. A pearl is created in the mantlr of a mollusc when an irritant particle is surrounded by layers of nacre.
