Solution

The correct option is D Heat in presence of Cu at 573K
KMnO4 will oxidise primary alcohol to carboxylic acids. Remaining all the threee reagents can be used to oxide primary alcohols to aldehydes.
Reaction of primary alcohols with Cu at 573 K : Primary alcohols undergo dehydrogenation to form aldehydes.

Mild oxidation of a primary alcohol is done and it gives an aldehyde.
The reagents which can be used for this oxidation are pyridinium chlorochromate (PCC) and anhydrous CrO3. If we use anhydrous CrO3, the yield is poor, but if we use PCC, the yiels is better.
CH3CH2CH2OHPCC/anhydrous CrO3−−−−−−−−−−−−−CH3CH2CHO
