The correct option is C Whenever a carbocation is formed in a reaction, it may rearrange. Only those carbocations which can produce more stable forms will rearrange. So, here first ring expansion will take place, so that five membered ring will form. After this, 1, 2 Hydride shift will take place to form a tertiary carbocation which is more stable than secondary carbocation.
