Solution

The correct option is D Spirogyra
Spirogyra is an unbranched filamentous green alga, a freshwater form which forms floating mass.

Sexual reproduction in spirogyra is known as conjugation, it involves the fusion of two morphologically identical, but physiological dissimilar gametes.

Isogamy involves the fusion of gametes that are morphological and physiological is similar. They are called isogametes and they are non flagellated. They are found in Spirogyra.

Ulothrix sexually reproduces by biflagellate gametes. Most of the Ectocarpus species are anisogamous. The gametes are biflagellate and motile. While in Sargassum, the reproduction is oogamous and involves the fusion of motile sperm or male gamete with a nonmoile ovum or female gamete.

So, the correct option is 'Spirogyra'.
