PPLO are mycoplasmas which are Pleuropneumonia Like Organisms. Mycoplasma is a genus of bacteria that lack a cell wall around their cell membrane. They cause diseases in plants like mulberry dwarf, grassy shoot of sugarcane, citrus greening, little leaf of brinjal, etc.
