The correct option is B
$- 5 + 1 = 4$

First option is given as
= -7 + (-6) = -13
= -7 = 6
= -13
So, this is true

Second option is given as
= -5 + 1
= -4
So, this is false

Third option is given as
= 2 + (- 1)
= 2 - 1
= 1
So, this is true

Forth option is given as
= 8 + (- 9)
= 8 - 9
= -1
So, this is also true

$∴$ $- 5 + 1 = 4$ is false.
