Solution
The correct option is D Every flower has all the four parts (sepals, petals, stamens and pistils) present.
The four main parts of the flower that may or may not be present in the same flower are sepal, petal, stamen, and pistil.
Sepal: They are green leaf-like structures that help in the protection of flower in its bud stage.
Petal: They are the most attractive and brightly coloured part of the flower.
Stamen: It is the male reproductive organ of a flower. It consists of anther and filament. Anther produces pollen grains which contain the male gametes. The arrangement of anther and filament varies in different stamen. Therefore, different flowers have different stamens.
Pistil: It is the female reproductive organ of a flower. It has three parts i.e., stigma, style and ovary. Inside the ovary, there are bead-like structures called the ovules which contain the female gametes.
