The Deccan sultanates were five late-medieval Indian kingdom, on the Deccan Plateau between the Krishna River and the Vindhya Range that were ruled by Muslim dynasties. Ahmadnagar, Berar, Bidar, Bijapur, and Golconda were the five late-medieval Indian kingdom. The fort of Raichur was built by Kakatiya king Rudra in 1284 CE, which passed on to the Vijayanagar kingdom after the decline of Kakatiyas.
