BJT is a transistor.
Forward bias is a condition in which the p-side is connected to the positive terminal of the power supply, and n-side to negative.
In this condition, the device becomes a very good conductor.
In the saturation region, both junctions of the BJT get forward biased and the whole transistor becomes a good conductor.
This condition is similar to the positive and negative of power supply coming under direct contact. It acts like a short circuit condition.
