Pharynx, Larynx, Trachea, Bronchi, Nose, and Lungs
In humans, the organs of the respiratory system include nose, pharynx, larynx, trachea, bronchi, and the lungs. The nose is the point of entry for air and has two opening called nostrils. The pharynx is the common passage for air and food. The pharynx leads to an air tube called the trachea which further divides into two branches called bronchi. At the entrance of the trachea, there is a voice box called the larynx. The lungs are pink, spongy, elastic organs protected by the rib cage. Gaseous exchange takes place in the lungs.
