Which organ of the human body produces urea?
Open in App
Solution
Urea:
Urea in the human body is produced through amino acid metabolism.
It is a major component of nitrogenous waste formed inside the human body.
As amino acid metabolism takes place in the liver, the formation of urea also happens in the liver.
Then from the liver, it is transferred to the kidney.
After ultrafiltration, it is thrown out of the body in the form of urine.
