Dictyosome

In plant cells, Golgi apparatus consist of a number or isolated units called dictyosomes . It produces materials for secretion, takes part in the transformation of membranes, the formation of a number of products from glycoproteins (eg., mucin in goblet cells), complex heteropolysaccharides (eg., mucilage in root cap cells), hormones, melanin, matrix of connective tissue, middle lamella, acrosome and lysosomes.
