Question

Which part of brain control urination

Open in App
Solution

Dear Student

Answer
Urination is the process of excreting urine that is stored in the Urinary Bladder. Muscles of the urinary bladder receive a neural signal when it is full of urine and needs to be emptied from the PMC (pontine micturition center) in the brain stem which then sends signals to the peripheral nervous system like to the nerves of the spinal cord. In the end, nerves from the spinal cord stimulate muscles to contract and an urge to urinate.
