Part of a flower that becomes seed:

  1. After the process of fertilisation in plants, the ovule which is present inside the ovary of a flower is converted into seed.
  2. Fertilisation is the process by which male and female gametes fuse together to form a zygote.
  3. In a flowering plant, stamens are the male reproductive part while carpels are the female reproductive part.

Parts of seed:

  1. A germinating seed includes a baby plant which is known as an embryo. The embryo has two parts: plumule and radicle.
  2. Plumule is the part of the embryo that gives rise to the stem part of the plant whereas the radicle is the part of the embryo that gives rise to the root part of the plant.
