Hypothalamus is a small part of the brain that controls the pituitary gland which is situated just below the hypothalamus. Hypothalamus secretes a variety of releasing hormones and inhibitory hormones and controls the pituitary gland. Pituitary gland regulates the functions of other glands and controls the entire endocrine system.
