Somatotropin, also known as growth hormone is secreted from the anterior lobe of the pituitary (adenohypophysis). It stimulates the growth of essentially all tissues of the body, including bone.
Vasopressin is secreted from the posterior pituitary (neurohypophysis). It helps in the conservation of water in the body by increasing water resorption from the latter part of the tubule.
