Which period in the periodic table has both 's' and 'p' block elements?
Both (A) and (C)
2nd period elements are lithium, beryllium, boron, carbon, nitrogen, oxygen, fluorine, and neon. The periodic table shows Lithium and Beryllium to be ‘s’ block elements and rest of them to be ‘p’ block elements.
And the 3rd period elements are sodium, magnesium, aluminum, silicon, phosphorus, sulfur, chlorine, and argon. Form the periodic table it is evident that the first two, sodium and magnesium, are members of the s-block of the periodic table, while the others are members of the p-block.
