Solution

The retina is the layer that contains the photoreceptors, the rods and the cones. Rods are used for vision in dim light. They contain rhodopsin as the photopigment to absorb the light. This pigment is incorporated into the membranes of the rods.
Cones are used for vision in the bright light. They have erythropsin (sensitive to red), chloropsin (sensitive to green), and cyanopsin (sensitive to blue) as the main photopigments.
