  2. It is translocated from one region to another region for regulating physiological reactions.
  3. There are two types of hormones growth promoters and growth inhibitors.

The hormone which copes with adverse environmental conditions:

  1. The stress hormone which is synthesized in plants under stress is known as abscisic acid.
  2. This plant hormone is a naturally occurring hormone.
  3. It helps the plant to cope with drought and other conditions of stress.
  4. The function of abscisic acid is to retard the growth of plants and helps in the closure of stomata.
