  4. A meristem at the tip of the plant stem is responsible for the division and growth as it is continuously divided.
  5. Meristem can form all different types of specialized cells.
  6. Meristematic tissues are of primarily three types protoderm, ground meristem, and procambium.
  7. Protoderm forms epidermis, ground meristem forms ground tissue, and procambium form xylem and phloem.
