which property among Ammonium Chloride and sodium chloride is different

Open in App
Solution

Dear student,

  • Sublimation is the process in which a solid is directly changed into a gas without changing into the liquid form. Ammonium chloride would sublime on heating leaving sodium chloride behind while sodium chloride do not.
  • Ammonia is evolved when ammonium chloride will react with sodium hydroxide. Sodium chloride does not react.
  • NH4Cl + NaOH → NH3 + NaCl + H2O
