It is a white, sticky, foul-smelling vaginal discharge which refers to the presence of polymorphonuclear leukocytes (PMNLs) in vaginal fluid. Leishmania, a genus of trypanosomes, infect man, dog, cattle, horse, sheep etc. and cause serious diseases collectively known as Leishmaniasis.
