Louis Pasteur was the scientist who performed experiments to demonstrate that life comes only from pre-existing life. He used two flasks. There was a fresh piece of meat placed in pre-sterilised flasks and another open flask. Life did not emerge from the meat while in another flask open to the air, new living organisms arose from killed yeast. This experiment proves that the life will be produced when there are living cells which give rise to new cells by reproduction.
