1. The fallopian tubes are muscle tubes that reside with the other reproductive organs in the lower abdomen/pelvis.
2. Two tubes extend from near the top of the uterus, run laterally, and then curve over and around the ovaries, one on each side.
3. During ovulation, either the right or left ovary produces a mature egg for fertilization in a fertile female.
4. They are the site for fertilization.
