Correct statements

(a)Blood transports CO2 comparatively easily because of its high solubility.

The solubility of CO2 is 2025 times higher than that of O2. Hence, about 7% of CO2 is transported in the dissolved form in plasma to the lungs.

(c) CO2 diffuses into blood, passes into RBCs and reacts with water to form H2CO3.

Carbonic anhydrase enzyme is present in significant amounts in RBCs and in minor quantities in plasma too. This reversibly catalyses the conversion of CO2 and H2O into H2CO3. H2CO3 dissociates into H+ and HCO3-. Around 70% CO2 is transported this way.
