Solution

Nervous system

The organ system that helps in the control and coordination of other organ systems in the body is called the nervous system. The nervous system is divided into two parts:

  1. Central nervous system: It is that part of the nervous system which is involved in the processing of stimuli (receive and response).
  2. Peripheral nervous system: It is the part of the nervous system which connects the central nervous system with the sense organs, glands and muscles of the body.

Hence, the peripheral nervous system is the system that facilitates communication between the central nervous system and other parts of the body.
