Dear Student
Lost wax technique was the method followed to make Chola bronze statues. This process had several stages
1. In the first place, the statue is made of wax and it was covered with clay and left to dry in sunlight
2. Later it was heated and a hole was put in the clay cover which enabled the molten wax to be drained out
3. Then, this molten was poured in the clay mould of the image through this mini hole. Once the metal is cooled and become solid, the clay cover was removed with care and the image was cleaned and polished
