Myasthenia gravis :

An autoimmune disease that breaks the communication between the nerves and muscles at the neuromuscular junction is called myasthenia gravis. Thus neuromuscular tissue is affected by myasthenia gravis.

Autoimmune disorders :

The immune system recognizes a foreign particle and defends our body from the same. But when the cells of the immune system attack the cells of the body instead of a foreign particle, this condition is called an autoimmune disorder. Myasthenia gravis is an autoimmune disorder in which the body starts making antibodies against the receptors of acetylcholine present on the muscle fibres.

Summary :

The body starts making antibodies against the acetylcholine receptors present on the muscle fibres. Thus affecting the connection between the muscle and neuron at the neuromuscular junction. This autoimmune disorder is called myasthenia gravis.
