Solution

## The correct option is A M1 and M2M 1 represents a 10 × 10 table where each row has 10 equal divisions, and there are 10 rows in total. Hence, out of the 100 small boxes, the number of colored boxes is 70. Fraction of colored boxes = 70100 = 0.70 We can also write 0.70 as 0.7. Now, it is read as seven tenths. This means, out of 10 bars, 7 bars needs to be colored to make it equivalent. In M2, 7 bars out of 10 bars are colored. In M3, 6 bars out of 10 bars are colored. Hence, decimals represented by M 1 and M 2 are equivalent.
