RuBisCO:

  1. RuBisCO is the most plentiful enzyme present in the world.
  2. The full form of RuBisCO is Ribulose-1,5-bisphosphate carboxylase oxygenase.
  3. It catalyses the carboxylation of RuBP, which is the fixation of CO2 in the synthesis of glucose in the Calvin cycle.
  4. It also has an affinity for O2 and shows oxygenase activity during photorespiration.

Occurrence: RuBisCO enzyme occurs in all of the plants.
