Which unit holds data permanently?
secondary storage unit
Answer: (B) secondary storage unit
The Secondary Storage Unit permanently holds information, and it is known as auxiliary memory too. The storage space is greater than the main memory and can be permanently stored on it. It’s a slower compare to primary one. In terms of price it is cheaper, even the computer device turns off or resets can maintain the data or information stored in it and that’s why secondary memory is non-volatile. Stored pieces of data in this memory can not be directly accessed by the CPU.
Example: The magnetic disc like DVDs, CD-ROMs, etc.
