a. At the time of UPA government, it was NDA that National Democratic alliance that was the coalition of parties formed in 1998, and that emerged as the opposition coalition against the UPA .
b. NDA was led by BJP , other parties that were included were Shiv Sena, Shiromani Akali Dal, Telengana Rasthriya Samiti etc.
