Resistance is a measure of opposition to the flow of current through a material.
The formula of the resistance of the material is
$R = ρ \frac{l}{A}$
Where $ρ$ is resistivity, $l$ is the length of the conductor and $A$ is the area of the cross-section.
The resistance $R$ of a wire is directly proportional to its length $l$ .
$R α l$
Hence, the resistance increases by increasing length and it decreases by decreasing length.
Therefore, the long wire will offer more resistance than the short wire.
