  1. We know that F=m×v-ut.where F,m,v,uand t are force applied, the mass of the body, final velocity, initial velocity, and time respectively.
  2. If time t for a change of momentum is more, then force acting on the body will be less, as force is inversely related to time.
  3. Therefore the fielder will experience lesser force if he gradually pulls his hands backward.
