While inflating a balloon, the entire air that was blown into the balloon escapes, when its mouth is left open. This is because:
The air inside the balloon exerts pressure in all directions
The air inside the balloon exerts pressure on the walls of the balloon. The air always moves from high pressure to low pressure. When the pressure inside the balloon exceeds the atmospheric pressure acting on it the balloon inflation of balloon occurs. When the mouth of the balloon is left open, the air moves from the high-pressure area(inside the balloon) to low-pressure area(outside the balloon). Hence as its mouth is left open, the entire air escapes to the atmosphere.
