Question

While swimming in the sea a fish gulps some air and then releases it in the form of bubbles. Why does the size of bubbles decrease?

Solution

Let's ignore the part about where the bubble comes from.

Since bubble is a air pocket surrounded by water the size of the bubble keeps on increasing as the bubble rises up. This is because the internal air pressure remains same while the external pressure decreases.

Hence the bubble size increases
