Solution
Reflex action:
Reflex action is a rapid and involuntary movement of the body in response to an external stimulus.
When an individual touches a hot spoon, the thermoreceptors present in the skin's nerve endings receive information and transport it to the central nervous system. The sensory neurons then transmit the information to the motor neurons through the relay neurons in the central nervous system. The motor neurons then transmit the impulse to the effector organ (hand), which generates an appropriate response (pulling away of hand).
