Solution

The correct option is A Portuguese
It was the Portuguese that conquered the city of Malacca and began colonising the region. The city of Malacca was part of the SriVijaya empire that covered modern-day Indonesia. This empire was eventually taken over by the Javanese kingdom of Majapahit. Once the Portuguese took over, all the regions once under Majapahit were split up. Eventually, the Portuguese set up fortified trading stations and with strong naval connections, they began their trade.
